Johannes Heintz (John Hines) and his descendants emigrants from Prussia to Penna in 1751. The vessel he was on, 'Two Brothers', brought 239 passengers and sailed from Rotterdam, Holland. He was of German and Swiss origin. The name Heintz has had various spellings and it first appears in America in 1730, with Johan Ludwig Heintz in the Port of Philadelphia on Nov. 30, 1730. It is presumed the majority came from the the German Palatinate region. In war and peace they have performed their part.
