We see variations on the spelling of the name, Major Herzey and the weather sailing balloon, Christian Hershey in Lancaster, PA, father and son, Benjamin, served as bishop in the Mennonite Church. Five hundred of these Swiss Mennonite families settled in Lancaster County.
