A. J. Bleecker

Descendants of William Hill (1751 - 1826) and his wife Alethea Carmer (1767-1828). William Hill was born in Ballycastle, Ireland and his parents were Rev. Robert and Sarah (Stewart). He came to America about 1777 and settled in New York City. He was elected a vestryman of his church and he was a merchant. He later attended the historic old church St. Paul's and was a vestryman there for several years. He wa buried in his vault in St. Paul's churchyard.
