HILTON Family Genealogy 1896
By John T. Hassam
William Hilton came from London to Plymouth in New England, in the ship the Fortune, November 11, 1621. His wife and two children followed in the Anne, in July or August, 1623. We see that William had land, held public offices, was deputy from Dover to the General Court at Boston, 1644, and we see letters written to and from William, and also Governor John Winthrop. We see descendants who played a part in America's wars.
