Provided in this publication are the descendants of Barbara Hochstetler and Christian Stutzman. Barbara Stutzman was a daughter of Jacob Hochstetler, the immigrant to America in September, 1736, who resided in Berks County, PA. Jacob Hochstetler, the ancestor, was attacked by indians in September, 1757, where his wife, son Jacob and a daughter were killed. The father and two sons were taken up the Susquehanna River. After three years father escaped, and the sons were returned after five and seven years. Barbara died about 1782, her husband in 1770. A historical introduction is given by William F. Hochstetler.
