The Holbrook Family name is ancient and distinguished in England,  and their coming to America happened in the early stage of colonization as they are seen residing in Massachusetts and Derby, Connecticut. Richard Holbrook is first mentioned in Dorchester, Mass about 1627, along with his brothers and sisters. In the following generations are recorded births, marriages, deaths of the family members to 1926.
