It begins with Thomas Holland, private, who enlisted in September 1777, and served for three years in the war from Virginia. In Georgia land lottery of 1827 he drew two tracts of land for Revolutionary War service. He married Phoebe Rickman, and their forst children were born in VA, Nansemond County.
