A chapter of Hopkins genealogy, from 1735-1905. We read that the family of Hopkins emigrated from the north of Ireland to America well before the Revolutionary War, and landed first at Albany, NY. Some moved to Virginia, being attacked by indians they left that area and moved to another part of VA, Spotsylvania County. Later part of that became Orange County. These were brothers John, William, and Archibald.
