A history and genealogy of the Hurff family to 1951. The family association was organized in 1904 and a reunion of the descendants of Johann Balthaser Hurff was held. The name was originally known as Harff, and it flourished for many centuries. In 1496 Arnold von Harff, Knight, traveled from Cologne through many countries, and recorded his pilgrimage in a book, at times accompanied by Christopher Columbus.
