This book provides the genealogy of the Ingersoll family in America, from the years 1629-1925. Several generations of descendants of each of these lines is included. Richard and Ann Ingersoll, of Salem, Massachusetts came from England in 1629. Part 2 shows Richard's younger brother, John Ingersoll of Westfield, Mass (b. England, 1615) and his wife, Dorothy, who died when giving birth to their third daughter in 1656. She was twenty-six years old. John then married Abigail Bascom in 1657.  Part 3 covers John Ingersoll (1640-1695) and Jane (Skidmore Whitehead) Ingersoll who were married in 1673. She was the widow of Daniel Whitehead and they lived in Huntington, Long Island. Nine generations of their descendants are included.
