This is an account of immigrant ancestor, William James (1771-1832) of Albany New York and his descendants, with notes on collateral lines. He was born in Ireland and came to Albany in 1793 where he died. William James was described as a merchant, an enlightened citizen and a psychologist. An index of name and numerous portraits of family members occupy the pages of this book.
