This is the story and the descendants of the emigrant to America, Archibald McAllister and Jean McClure, of W. Pennsboro Twp., Cumberland Co., PA, from 1730-1898. He owned a large tract of land in the Cumberland Valley and was a strict Presbyterian, and one of the organizers of the First Presbyterian Church at Carlisle, Penna. He built a grist mill the second one west of the Susquehanna River.
In 1263 A.D. a new clan that flourished in Scotland arose and Allaster MacDonald, the progenitor of the MacAllasters became the 'chief' of the new clan.
