The Grady family of North Carolina descended from William Grady who emigrated from Ireland and settled in Bertie County near the close of the seventeenth century. These are the eleven generations of descendants through William's son, John Grady (1710-87) and Mary (Whitfield) of Dobbs and Duplin. Included are names of some who served in the Revolutionary War.
