This short booklet provides a genealogical account of the Hinckley family, their English origin and brief history. The name being spelled with and without the c. Samuel Hinckley, of England, with his wife and children came to America in 1635 and first settled in Scituate, within the limits of Plymouth Colony. In 1639 moved to Barnstable, being one of the pioneer settlers of that town of Cape Cod.
