An autobiography of William Hobbs, born in Randolph Cty, NC in 1780, to Elisha and Fanny Hobbs. They were members of the Episcopal Church, and when William was about ten they became members of the Society of Friends. From the Introduction: 'This rare piece of Quakerama was originally published by the Bloomingdale World at Bloomingdale, Indiana. It is undated but was probably printed about 1860.  William Hobbs has been all but forgotten, however his son, Barnabas C. Hobbs left quite an impression in the Hoosier education field both within and without the Society of Friends.'  Barnabas C. Hobbs was born Oct. 4, 1815 and began teaching at the age of eighteen.  Typescript (Softcover)
