This short booklet presents the ancestry of the Hobbs-Elrod Families through the Coffin family in 1066 to William Coffin a Quaker, Elisha Hobbs and Fanny McLana, William son of Elisha that married Priscilla Coffin, and a few generations later to William Parker Hobbs and Mary Ann Elrod. Cyrus L. Elrod - Civil War records show he enlisted in September, 1861 in Missouri, killed in action at Ft Donelson, Tenn in Feb, 1862. When the color bearer was shot Mr Elrod was next in line to carry the flag. He had no more raised it until he went down. He said "Tell my family I died for my country." (Softcover)
